Who Are We?

The Northern Wildlife Foundation is a Québec non-profit foundation whose goal is to assist environmental organizations, project proponents and individuals working in the field of wildlife management. Our management approach focuses on minimizing administrative costs in order to contribute as efficiently as possible to wildlife conservation.

Above all, we want our actions to have a direct impact on wildlife. This involves:

protecting and showcasing habitats;
acquiring more information about natural environments and the wildlife species that inhabit them;
helping endangered wildlife species (getting directly involved in environmental causes);
rescuing and rehabilitating various wildlife species and returning them to their natural environments.

Finally, we want to raise public awareness about the urgent need for action on issues such as the melting of the polar ice caps, air pollution, deforestation and global warming. It is imperative that we address these problems in order to leave a better environmental legacy for our children.

We also intend to put pressure on public policy makers so they will make environmentally sound decisions that will help to reverse the situation as quickly as possible.

Our credo:

Since the Northern Wildlife Foundation is a Québec organization, it supports economic choices that benefit Québec products, from fruits and vegetables to maple products and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. The Foundation also supports initiatives that promote organic agriculture and renewable energy sources. Finally, the Foundation has the mandate to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage people to modify their lifestyle habits by making choices that are more environmentally friendly and socially equitable. It is within this context that the Northern Wildlife Foundation is working to build a better Québec.
